Familiarity. Comfort. That which is known. These are my favorite things. I want to know everything so no one can laugh at me for not knowing. I want to know what's next so my anxiety stays at bay. I want to be ready because surprise is so scary. It leaves me so vulnerable. The world is big and scary and full of darkness. My life might be too. But there are also golden days, magic hours, and beautiful moments. If I do not learn how to calm my worry and tamp down my anxiety, I'm going to miss all the good stuff. And that just can't be what comes next.
